1. The bearing is not flexible

Cause of the fault:

Foreign objects such as materials enter the bearing seal cover of the sand making machine.

Foreign objects biting into the seal cover will increase the rotation resistance of the shaft system, and even suddenly lock or decelerate, causing abnormal impact on the bearing. If the foreign objects are broken into pieces and enter the bearing, it will also cause lubrication failure, bearing wear, temperature rise, lock or even breakage.

Solution:

Open the seal cover and clean up the foreign objects.

2. The equipment is not running smoothly, and the body swings too much

Cause of the fault:

The wearing parts on the rotor body are seriously worn, and the rotor is unbalanced; the feed particle size is too large or uneven; the impeller wheel is blocked, causing uneven feeding and swinging.

Influence on bearings:

The imbalance of the rotor will cause greater vibration and eccentric load on the bearing, which will cause abnormal temperature rise, creep, wear, premature fatigue and other problems of the bearing.

Solution:

Replace wearing parts and balance the impeller inside the sand making machine; strictly control the feed particle size, which cannot exceed the maximum value allowed by the equipment; remove the blockage on the impeller wheel, and clean the crushing chamber frequently.

3. The equipment makes abnormal noises during operation

Cause of the fault:

4. The particle size of the discharge material becomes larger

Cause of the fault:

The long-term operation of the equipment causes the V-belt of the transmission part to loosen; the feed particle size is too large; the impeller speed is unreasonable and the efficiency becomes low.

Influence on the bearing:

The change of the rotor speed and the excessive feed particle size will cause abnormal vibration and creep of the bearing, thereby causing premature fatigue of the bearing.

Solution:

Adjust the belt tightness; feed the material strictly according to the feeding requirements of the sand making machine (if the feed is too large, the equipment swings too much; if the feed is too little, it is difficult to achieve the qualified finished sand volume due to insufficient collision and crushing); adjust the impeller speed until the ideal standard is reached.

5. Bearing temperature rises

Causes of failure:

Damage to the sealing cover and oil seal causes dust and foreign matter to enter the bearing parts; insufficient lubricant, deterioration, substandard grease quality, improper brand selection; bearings are overused and worn.

Influence on bearings:

Sand making machine bearings need to maintain a reasonable clearance during use. When the bearing temperature rises abnormally, the internal clearance of the bearing will be eliminated, causing the shaft to be locked or the cage to be broken, which will lead to serious consequences.

Solutions:

Clean up foreign matter, replace bearings, and replace worn seals; regularly check the properties of lubricating grease and replace aging grease in time; regularly check the use of bearings, record the online time of bearings, replace overused bearings in time, and reduce the safety hazards of sudden failures.

6. Excessive idling resistance

Cause of the fault:

Material is clogged in the seal cover on the bearing.

Influence on the bearing:

Foreign matter will increase the rotational resistance of the rotor, and will also cause wear or damage to the sealing part, which may easily lead to bearing creep, wear and other damage.

Solution:

Remove the clogged material from the bearing and check whether the corresponding device is clogged by the material.

7. The shaft sleeves and labyrinth glands on the upper and lower ends are damaged

Cause of the fault:

The upper (lower) sleeves are heated due to the friction between the upper (lower) sleeves and the bottom of the upper (lower) gland, and will be damaged over time.

Influence on the bearing:

The wear of the sleeves and labyrinth glands will cause the seals to fail, dust to enter the contact surfaces such as the oil seals, and further damage the oil seals, causing dust and metal grinding to enter the bearings, causing bearing wear, temperature rise, locking or breakage.

Replace new sealing rings and upper and lower sealing glands or sleeves.

8. There is a sound of metal collision in the sand making machine

Cause of the fault:

Loose bushing, impeller or other parts are worn and fall off.

Influence on bearings:

If the metal in the rotor bearing cylinder is worn or loose, it is easy to cause the metal falling off to bite into the bearing, causing wear temperature rise or locking. If the external metal falls off and suddenly causes the rotor to stop, it is likely to cause internal abrasions of the bearing, fracture of the retainer or sudden ablation.

Solution:

9. Oil leakage at the upper and lower ends of the shaft

Cause of the fault:

Failure of the seal causes dust to enter, dry grinding at the oil seal, etc., resulting in failure of the seal at the joint between the oil seal and the sleeve, and the gap increases, causing oil leakage.

Effect on the bearing:

The direct impact of oil leakage is that dust will immediately enter the inside of the bearing, and long-term oil leakage will lead to insufficient lubrication and oxidation of grease, causing bearing wear, temperature rise and other abnormalities.

Solution:

Replace the worn oil seal and sleeve, and check whether the bearing is damaged.

10. The machine suddenly becomes louder and rumbles

Cause of the fault:

Bearing or gear problems; loose connection bolts at the base or certain position; severe wear of wearing parts.

Influence on bearings:

Rotor imbalance and external vibration may cause bearing abnormalities; poor bearing quality can also easily cause sudden damage, resulting in abnormal rotors at high speeds.

Solution:

Check whether the bearings and gears are intact, and replace them with regular factory products in time; regularly tighten the bolts at each position to avoid machine vibration; replace wearing parts and keep the rotor in a dynamic balance state.
